Shows de "The Yummy Fur"

El anterior grupo de Alex Kapranos y Paul Thompson llamado "The Yummy Fur" estará reuniéndose para brindar unos conciertos en Enero del 2010, tanto en los Estados Unidos como en Gran Bretaña.

La reunión se debe al 15 aniversario del lanzamiento de disco "Guided Misile 7" y al lanzamiento del disco recopilatorio del grupo.

The Yummy Fur fue una banda de rock de Glasgow, Escocia, que se mantuvo tocando entre los años 1992 y 1999. Tenían como lider al vocalista y guitarrista John McKeown, con la compañia de algunos colaboradores a lo largo Lawrence Worthington,
Mark Gibbons (fallecido), Clare Gormande, Alex Kapranos y Paul Thompson.

Franz Ferdinand-featuring The Yummy Fur reuniting Franz and 1990s-featuring band to play live again?

Cult Scottish band The Yummy Fur, who used to include members of Franz Ferdinand and 1990s, look set to reunite to play gigs in the UK and US next January.

The band, who featured 1990s singer John [Jackie] McKeown alongside Franz Ferdinand drummer Paul Thompson and singer Alex Kapranos (playing bass and keyboards), are reportedly set to play their first proper gig since 1999 at Glasgow's Nice N' Sleazy on January 7.

According to the band's old record label Guided Missile, the one-off tour will feature McKeown and Thompson alongside guitarist Brian McDougall. Kapranos – who performed as Alex Huntley – is not said to be involved at present.

The band are understood to be touring to celebrate the 15th anniversary Guided Missile, and a new The Yummy Fur compilation album is reportedly set to be released around the same time as the shows.
